Quote // Each of us puts in one little stone, and then you get a great mosaic at the end – Alice Paul

Only one more day to go!!!!!
Gaaahhh excitement and sadness all at once!!
If this moment was a culinary dish, I would imagine it to be lemon meringue pie with wasabi ice-cream.
Gosh, I can only imagine what I’ll do with all this free time….read a book…or three. Grow a herb garden (at 11pm at night!?) Stalk artsy fartsy creative blogs? Sit down and actually watch a tv show without having to multi-task, trying to follow the story line whilst peering over the top of my computer screen + playing around in photoshop + searching for quotes.
Just imagine….
Oh and for those that are interested, this delightful little mosaic happens to be found high up in the roofs of a little place known as “St Peter’s Basilica”…you know, just that building thing smack bang in the middle of Vatican City.
It’s truly inspiring to see the attention to detail that was taken by such creative people, for a piece of work that would have rarely even been seen up close by most people.
Now that my dear friends, is Visual Inspiration.

March 15, 2011 at 7:40 pm (15 years ago)You are a modern day artist Som, who deserves no less recognition than those who created mosaics or paintings for the Basilica. You are not limited to a single space, your blogs have been read from all corners of the world. The beauty of your pictures have been united with words that can touch a soul, brighten a face and encourage the sparks and flames that burn inside every one of us, to make a difference, to celebrate life and give encouragement. The hours of work you have put aside to give to others are not wasted and will live on to continue their journey well beyond the last post tomorrow. I am so very proud of you.
