– “So, what did you do in Grasse, France? Oh you know….just dropped in on a local perfumery and learnt the ancient secrets of the trade.”
Had the pleasure of being shown around Fragonard’s Perfumery on a guided tour and seeing all the behind the scenes and how everything is made. Was absolutely fascinating to say the least and puts a story to the fragrances we were able to smell afterwards.
p.s interesting fact: the people responsible for creating the fragrances are called “noses” apparently there are only something like 50 top “noses” in the world and they can literally distinguish the difference between 1000’s of smells!
